Comment | Brizard/04/08/24 1400hrs. I responded to 10333 Ohio Ave in reference to complaint of 6ft fence all around the property, campers being lived in and 10ft structures being built. Research shows not homestead, no foreclosure on this property, no previous cases, and Zoned ASC-1. Upon arrival I observed a white fence surrounding the property, I measured the front fence and it is more than 6 feet. I checked Acella and did not find a permit for the fence height in the front. There was not a visable address on the mailbox or property that i could see. Unable to get inside the property due to large gate and surrounding fence. I called the complainer and he said he had to pay for a variance for his fence and feel like his neighbor can't just put up a 6 ft fence without paying. Comment | Jones 4-11-2024, 1045 hrs. I responded to the above address for a fence zoning and a no address posted violation. I arrived on scene, and I found that the violations were still present. I spoke to one of the workers who happened to be the owner's cousin. He thought that the fence had to be moved back 4 feet but I explained that the height needed to be reduced to 4 feet and the address needed to be posted to the mailbox. He verbally stated that he understood. While on scene I found a house, a barn, and a large gazebo built on the property. I looked up the folio in Acela and found no permits applied for or granted. I sent the following email to Matt Kent of Code Compliance: From: Jones, David Sent: Thursday, April 11, 2024 10:43 AM To: Kent, Matthew <KentM@hcfl.gov> Subject: 060362-0850 Good morning, We have a case at the above folio. It is listed as vacant, but we found permanent structure (house, barn, gazebo) on the property. I looked up the folio in Accela and I can't find any permits for anything to be built. We have them cited for a fence zoning violation, but I figured I'd let you guys know. Comment | BRIZARD/04/12/24 Site visit with Senior Officer Harwell, we met with the owner's cousin, Jorge Pupo. He gave contact numbers. He said they are not running a business here. He said a wharehouse is here and they store things here. We advised the website shows vacant propertyand there are structures on the property. We did advise can apply for rezone with land development. We will mail NOV to the owner. He is in the process of removing the 6ft fence in the front. Because of the vacant status on the folio, he does not need to have an address posted. I advised that violation removed. Current violations: Fenzone Zoning & Accessory use w/o primary. People screen updated. Last contact with interpreter for the owner, 05/08/24. She said they are trying to get a permit to have a modular home placed on the property. I checked Acella, only see the investigation for code compliance case. NOV was mailed 04/12/24. Ownership changed but one owner still remained and no new owners added.
